Borrowing from Te KāmataHow many items can I borrow?
You may borrow up to 6 items at once. But please ask Mrs Boniface if you would like more. Over school holiday periods you can borrow as many books as you can carry home! How long can I keep items for? Books can be borrowed for 3 weeks. Graphic novels and magazines for 1 week. Items can be renewed as long as there are no "Reserves" on it ( a Reserve means another student is waiting to borrow the item). What happens if I don't return my loans on time? You can not borrow any new items if you have overdue books. If you want to keep an overdue item for longer just ask to renew it at the Issuing Desk. An Overdue Notice is emailed to the student's Heaton email address when it is two weeks overdue. A Second Overdue Notice is sent to the student and a copy sent to a parent when a book is 3 weeks overdue. A Final Overdue Notice is sent to both student and a parent when a book is 4 weeks overdue. You will be charged the replacement cost of any item that is more than two months overdue. What happens if I lose a book? You may be charged the replacement cost for any item that you lose or that is more than two months overdue. Please report a lost book to Mrs Boniface as soon as possible so it can be removed from your borrower record. |
